CDL Training Information

Thank you for your interest in America's Driving Force. We appreciate the opportunity to present our program to you and to demonstrate it's proven record of success in training individuals, with no previous experience, in the skills of CDL Tractor-Trailer Driving.

America's Driving Force of Georgia, Inc. has been in operation since January of 1992. Our course is based on 180 hours of instruction administered over a three week period. A week of study consist of Monday through Saturday, 7:30 A.M. to 6:30 P.M. We keep classes small, thus enabling each student more one-on-one time with the instructors as well as maximizing driving time for each student.

Each week represents a specific section of the course.

Section One is the classroom program which focuses on all D.O.T. requirements of driver and equipment management.

Section Two is a full hands-on "range" course which trains the student in their basic control skills such as backing, maneuvering and shifting, prior to their actually entering the road.

Section Three is driving, where we strive to provide as many different training situations as possible for the student to gain high quality "road time".

The most important part of any driver training is "Behind-the-Wheel" experience. America's Driving Force strives to maintain a high average in this category in both range and highway training.

Student CDL Truck DriversA training program is only as good as the instructor who teaches it. All of our instructors are state certified with additional training and materials from the National Safety Council, The Georgia Motor Trucking Association, The American Trucking Associations and The Commercial Vehicle Training Association.

We are very proud of our program and eager to demonstrate its effectiveness. While our primary focus has always been to train student drivers in the safest operation of tractor-trailers possible, we have designed this course to be financially responsible as well.

Our CDL course is $4800 for the three weeks. There are $198.00 in additional fees which cover a copy of the students 7 year Motor Vehicle Report, a D.O.T. physical, drug screen, state registration and application fee, $50.00 Road Test Fee and all state licensing fees. Financial Assistance is available through a Federal Job Training Program for those who qualify. We also accept major credit cards and have financing available for qualified applicants as well as offering 50% discounts for applicants that pay in full up front prior to starting class. This reduces the cost of the tuition to $2,400.00..

We take great pride in our assistance with job placement.
CDL Student DriverWe have a recruiter from a different carrier scheduled every day to come in to the school and talk with the students. The recruiters do pre-hire upon completion of the course as long as the student meets the requirements of that particular carrier. In addition to the carriers that are represented by a recruiter visiting our school, we also keep applications to several carriers on file for the students to fill out. We continue to forward all applications for the students while they are here as well as after graduation. Students are also allowed to come back after graduation at any time to meet with recruiters that are scheduled to visit. We host special hiring events throughout the year for inexperienced and experienced drivers. These events include many major carriers looking for drivers.

Thank you again for your interest in America's Driving Force. We stand ready to answer any questions you may have. We are confident that our graduates meet the requirements of the trucking industry.
